A CHEQUE for £500 has been given to a charity which helps people with severe learning disabilities.

Worshipful Master Dick Burcham of the Templar Aquila Masonic Lodge handed over the money to Jill Parker, the project coordinator of the JPK residential centre.

The money was raised from a raffle held at their annual Ladies Night at the Glastonbury Hotel.

Jill said, ‘The trustees of the JPK project are extremely grateful to The Lodge for their continued support, as not only do we require funds but are encouraged by the tremendous support we receive from the community at large.’
