JPK Quilt

From the Eastbourne Herald, 22nd April 2005

THE JPK fundraisers and quilters held a barn dance to raise funds for the JPK Project, a charity aiming to provide a residential centre for people with learning disabilities in East Sussex.

A group of quilters from Lorna Dakin’s classes in Hailsham, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Polegate, or belonging to other quilt groups instigated by Patsy Violaris, decided to make a quilt to raffle to provide funds.

Two quilts were made, one to raffle and the other to hang in the entrance hall when the project is opened.

A total of £2,307.74 was raised on the night.
