Charity golf day holes the cash
From the Eastbourne Herald, 2nd October 2006
The event, held at Willingdon Golf Club, has been hailed a success and was in aid of The JPK Project whose aim is to provide a residential centre for people with a learning disability. The main sponsors for the event were Craig and Grant of Building Preservations, who, along with other companies provided sponsorship and raffle and auction prizes.
A total of 26 teams played 18 holes, which was followed by a grand raffle, dinner and auction.
The 2005 Charity Gold Day raised £9,000.
The 2006 Charity Golf Day raised a fantastic £11,800.
The JPK Project would like to thank everyone who sponsored and supported the day.
The 2007 Charity Golf Day is being held on Friday, 21st September and the main sposors this year are Essex Utilities along with many others who are sponsoring a hole and donating Auction and Raffle prizes. Teams have already signed up and the Committee and Co-ordinator, Chris Rose are well ahead in organising this enjoyable day, which into the bargain raises much needed funds to establish The JPK Project.
