Council pledges support to JPK Project
From the Eastbourne Herald, 25th February 2007
A CHARITY whose aim is to build a residential centre for people with a learning disability has received a £1,000 donation from its local council.
Willingdon and Jevington Parish Council agreed to give its ongoing support to the JPK Project and give the group £1,000 for each of the next four years.
Chairman of the council, Councillor Tony Seabrook, presented the cheque to project co-ordinator Jill Parker.
The donation came at the same time the charity found a potential new site for a centre.
Trustees of the project plan want to submit an outline planning application following an independent survey of the site at Ocklynge Chalk Pit.
